NuukiaWorld's patches for the built-in firmware of Nokia DCT-3 (Digital
Cellular Telephone, gen. 3)
generation phones
are based on NokiX. NokiX is a tool which allows
you to modify the firmware of most Nokia's DCT-3 mobile
phones. These phones include Nokia 5110, 6110, 6150, 3210, 3310, 3330,
etc. The official
NokiX site
contains many great ready-to-use patches, and with the development
environment (NokiX SDK) you may code your own patches and application
for your
Nokia in C.

The scripts usually require some specific version of the
NokiX's
official scripts (newer ones may work also but it cannot be guaranteed
because of hectic development for NokiX itself). For more details, see

To be able to use NokiX, you need a compatible Nokia mobile
phone
and a flasher cable and flashing software. See the hardware section
of this site
for more details.
CAUTION: Trying to modify the
built-in firmware
of a mobile phone may render it practically unrepairable. This applies
especially to phones that do not have a separate EEPROM chip for
settings and calibrations (e.g. most Nokia 3xxx phones). Before trying
to update the flash memory, you need to understand the functions of
your flashing program and the whole flashing process, including any
checksum updates required. NuukiaWorld does not give any support in
flashing-related questions.
